Surprisingly not bad. Was worried was too old as we drank a 2005 recently and it had soured. Color a little cloudy and taking some time to open up, but nice fruit taste with a clean finish.

Expected very little... what a surprise. Having bought this on release I might even say it's in its prime- like the '04 St. Innocent Shea. Not getting the normal, immediately prominent and characteristic Willamette minerals on the nose- a good thing, IMO. Fruit is still fresh and firm and delicious.

This is in a great drinking window. I don't see it getting more complex, but there is good fruit and length. Nice nose, roundness and finish. If I had any bottles left, I'd drink them up over the next year or so and enjoy it at this stage. BTW, had it with broiled salmon, green beans and a Trader Joe's Harvest Grains Blend that worked well with the wine. Sometimes, those old "natural pairings" like salmon and pinot noir really do have merit.

Dark red plum hue with watery lightly bricking rim, a bit hazy. Fairly benign early bouquet that, while not very enticing, is uncomplicated and solid with ripe dark red dried fruits, dust, iron and iodine with hints of tea, coffee bean and cedar. Creamy and silky mouthfeel, soft structure, moderate minus acid and moderate spice cola finish. Decent balance throughout but the rich and concentrated nature of this Pinot seems to mean that it is hitting its peak now. Enough elegance but not completely charming.

I purchased two bottles. I decanted one immediately, and the wine was sensational! I held the second bottle for two years under proper refrigeration. I decanted it for an hour and was truly shocked how poorly this wine had evolved in this time span. it was a disappointment.

This was my 3rd tasting of this wine. Ken Wright has to be one of the Premiere winemakers in Oregon. Several friends have shared this wine with me and all have loved it. Guadalupe is my favorite vineyard in the State. It is the same vineyard where the majority of the Domaine Serene Evenstad Reserve comes from. Rich and pure fruit. We always get to the end of the bottle and want more. That's a good wine.

Nicely balanced wine that is drinking well now. Supple, with lingering berry flavors.

Disappointing compared to previous bottles consumed. Try again in 4 months.

Consistant with previous notes. Just as smooth and rich.

A large gap in the midpalate took a bit away from an otherwise solid, enjoyable wine.

A good pinot that could easily go for another 3 or 5 years.
The tannins were not overbearing, but they were obvious.
