Unfortunately this wine followed the amazing '01 Pepper Bridge Cab, so it's score will probably suffer (unfairly). Trying to keep in mind that this is a Syrah, it was definitely heavier in weight and sweeter. Lots of plum and vanilla. Still very fresh, extremely smooth, fruit dominates - I would have it again w/o hesitation. Lacks complexity, but excellent none the less. 88-89

Decanted 30 minutes, only light sediment. Dark purple-red. Very pronounced nose of cherries and violets. Elegant and Smooth. Medium bodied. Unique flavors of olives, plum and spicy cherries. The fruit is still very fresh and dominate, tannins are well integrated. Finish is a little short at 15-20 seconds. Kept improving over the course of 2 hours.... Drinking very well now, but may even be better in a year or two.

Dinner at DeTapas: Slightly green and suggesting a cooler climate initially on the nose. Lots of fruit, but a bit vinous. The next day, this seemed grapey and boring.
