Opened and let it breath in bottle for 45 minutes. Very aromatic wine with aromas of violets like a mature Barolo or Barbaresco but also some aromas of spice. Dark fruit up front with blackberries, blueberries and cola. Pleasant acidity with good amount of tannin, it is an Aglianico after all. Long aftertaste of at least 40 seconds.

Still feels like it's on the young side with a light body and undistinctive nose on open, but it picks up with air, and is especially improved on day 2. Dried flowers, herbs and a hint of strawberry on nose, with a palate of tobacco and cherry. Nevertheless, not sure I want to devote cellar space to observe development for something at this price point ...
