Unfortunately this was my last bottle. It has held together very well. Well balanced this was brick red in color with a tinge of orange at the perimeter of the glass. Drank over two days with spaghetti and red meat sauce. It paired exceptionally well with it. Black cherry and cherry with a hint of tobacco on the palate. I’ll be on the lookout for its younger version!

Still holding up fine, and held its own to a very exciting Gaja 1962 Barbaresco that preceded it. Elegant, balanced, essentially Barolo expression. Always a beauty behold.

A beautiful wine from a great producer. Really drinking well still, but ready to go out of the bottle so probably not going to get much better. Old world style that we really like with subtle, aged fruit and floral notes.

Decanted 1-2hr, opened up beautifully with lots of subtle earthy and fruit notes and an elegant finish. I don't understand why the scores on this are so low, this is a great wine.

Ruby, more rustic than expected, stable, leather, some mushrooms, lean and some darker fruits pushed in the corner. Lazy acidity, ripe tannins, short finish, even VA. Not what I hoped for.

Explosion of strawberry, Raspberry, Scorched Earth, Spices, and well integrated oak. Big soft tannins, and excellent length. (Best from 2007 – 2018) JD95

Great wine! Taste of wild cherries and dried plums with little smoky touch.

really starting to open up ow - incredibly smooth and approachable barolo - not lacking in complexity but bags of charm
