Magnum. Definitely caught right at its peak. Rusty, pencil shavings, meaty, sweaty in all the right ways with enough fruit to pull it through. Great with steak and salty sides, didn't drink well with sweeter stuff.

Dark purple, very extracted wine. Blueberry and cherry fruit, well defined structure, and some bitterness on the finish. It has some secondary pine and earth notes. I hope it softens up over the next few years.

Deep purple, subdued nose, but with a hint of pine forest showing through. The wine was tight and felt shutdown, but after a day in the cellar it had a nice profile with undertones of loam, tobacco, and earthy spice. It was not well integrated however and the tannins were a little firm. Blue and red fruits were abundant and I think this still has time to develop and open up. For the price paid, I consider it a great deal.

This was a lovely (half) bottle of wine for $10. Perfectly mature now, it was nice on the first day but even better on the second. Soft but still present tannins, a tangy pluminess with some forest floor and just the slightest hint of bell pepper and/or tomato leaf on both the nose and the palate. Quite classy. Great QPR. Another good find from Last Bottle that I wish I had bought more of. Seems like it has another few years in it based on this condition of this bottle.

Slow ox'ed 1hr. A little closed on the nose. Red and black cherries/raspberries on the palate. Dusty tannins. Med body, med acidity. A bit angular, but not in a bad way. Shortish finish. Not sure what I saw in the bottle 3 years ago but this is a good weekday type drinker with moderate Bordeaux typicity. Still has time.

Muted nose. Palate had good black fruits though. Tannins could use a few years to soften. Will probably be a decent Bordeaux in a few years, but nothing spectacular.

Muted nose, full & fruity initial flavors, good fruit & structure on midpalate lead to sandy tanins which dominate the beginning of the rear, yet a long fruity finish pushes thru. Somewhat modern with nice complexity. It's young, but it has promise.

young, very young - inky purple and tremendous legs - upon opening tannins were sweet and balanced - otherwise wine was very restrained and closed. After one day, wine actually darkened but flavors and aromas still did not come out. Hold at least 2 - 3 more years.

Pulled the capsule and it had a leaky cork, soaked all the way through. Oxidized bottle.
