Hello old friend.... dark straw/light copper bdn, savory-driven and fun>interesting>pretty, but plenty of all three. The effervescence has already settled to a point that it’s drinking more or less mature. Beautiful wine and always a favorite of mine.

wonderful. prior lots/vintages (08 and 09) were copper-colored and brash (and i loved them). This is much more finessed and mainstream at first impression.
Bright strawberry/raspberry fruit, tastes so specifically of Pinot you'd expect rose, though the color is golden with the tiniest tinge of orange.
2 hours open, bubbles still quite alive though not as vigorous, this is an electric acid bomb... clarifying that statement, I mean it positively- the acid is as high as it can get while being perfectly, and only, pleasant - not too much.
love this producer, and this wine lived up to it.

Wow! Dark, straw yellow on the eye. Served in white Burgundy glasses...we should have used the bigger bowl red Burgundy glasses, but there ya go...they were in the dishwasher...lazy us :-(. Yeasty, toasty, oakey with a hint of rotten eggs (in a good way) on the nose...about as good as we can ask in terms of aromas. Medium to full-bodied, huge, yet elegant, Sophia Loren or Nicole Kidman like structure. Pinot evident, but Chardonnay making a happy statement. Mucho dry...we like. Ulysse Collin is a winner from A to Z...happy to have one more bottle in the cellar, which we will allow to rest peacefully (hopefully) until 2020.

I drank it now, in 2012. I shouldn't have, and I know it. Still too young, strong tension. Finesse and fruit. Fine bubbles. If you have a bottle, wait!

Drank too young at Rebelle NYC, but what a performance: all precision and tension, with great salinity and persistence.
