Frankly, a little dull. Very drinkable, mind. Dark in the glass, not purplish just very dark red. Plenty of cherry, some light vanilla but not enough to give it any real weight. A bit lacklustre in fruit and body. Short-medium finish. West Bromwich Albion.

Pretty simple and straightforward Vosne that opened up over 90 minutes. As it warmed up from cellar temp, it showed a bit more of the cherry flavors that immediately showed on the nose. A bit light but nice value wine.

Rather closed to start, with a slightly mediciinal nose. This needed a good hour to wake up. Then deeper, darker nose. Still fruity - raspberry / cherry. Some oak wafts in. Slightly granular texture. Balance was fine. Not terribly exciting. Overall fine, but seemed a little in between phases - neither fruity nor secondary.

Two bottles tried - this wine really showed what a minefield that red Burgundy can be and ended a recent good run. Horribly out of balance and sharply over acidic and lacked almost any fruit - got worse after about an hour's decant - a very disappointing wine and the lowest score that I have given a wine on CT partly due to the expense involved

This is a terroir driven wine. High acids, fig, smoke, red bitter fruit. Needs time in bottle. Tart finish. Except the acids, this is a very new world style Pinot. Very interesting wine, needs to find itself.

Seems chapitalized with sweetness of fruit not balanced, or fluid, through profile.

no notes. not a complex wine. Earth (much more than US piinot), cherry (darker than US), needed time to open.

Slight asparagus on the nose, dried berries with fine grained tannins.

Bargain Burgundy (K&L Wines, San Francisco): Medium weight wine with a tangy, Savigny-like twist. In the end, the acidity overtook the modest fruit.
