This is past its prime and has lost some of its punch. Aroma - a bit mineral, soft peach or tropical fruit. Taste - tart, guava, mineral, some butter (new oak).

Salininty and orange peel on the palate. There was something here that I just couldn't put my finger on until I realized that it smelled like capers of all things! Pale gold. Some candied fruits. Stone fruits. Sea salt and citrus. Modest length on the finish. On Day 2 - some grassiness.

Intriguing bottle... Nose had clear grapefruit aromas to me, palate was funky, almost gym sock/locker room-esque. But in an interesting way... Will tase this again the next day to see if the impression holds.

There is some serious PUCKER on the backend of this wine. Nose has some green grass, a little funkiness and maybe some kiwi. Green apple covered with lemon/lime and all other citruses. Even a little Sour Patch Kids. A bit of minerality keeps this from going over the edge. Fantastic finish for a wine of this price. Even better on Day 2. Nose is really beautiful and the finish has even stretched out farther.

Year after year one of the best performing Spanish whites. 80% Verdejo, 10% Viura, 10% Sauvignon Blanc. Pale straw colored. Zippy, citrus nose. The entire citrus family resides in the bottle along with some snappy apple and a touch of minerality. At it's affordable price it manages to still have a solid beginning, middle, and end palate. Clean and bright. Fabulous food wine -- seafood especially. (D 6.5, F 6.5; Cent., MSW)

Grapefruit, funk, and a little grass on the nose, like a funky Kiwi Sauv Blanc. Some grapefruit and lemons on the pallet with some decent acidity. Lacking in weight and finish. Not bad, esp for the price.

Nose of grapefruit and dirty sweat socks. Strange wine indeed, slowly opens into a tiny bit more gentle fruit. Maybe more grapefruit acid than the Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc.

Very nice wine for the price. Crisp and refreshing. Has a citrus touch that is similar to a sauvignon blanc, but this is lighter and more subtle. A good wine for the price.

80% Verdejo, 10% Viura, and 10% Sauvignon Blanc Intensely aromatic, gooseberries, pears, cat pee immediately recall a NZSB. On the palate a very similar effect of succulent tart fruit and zingy acidity...the flavors lean more heavily into the white peach/pear zone. Wonderful value, too.

August West, Native 9, Inman, Patricia Green Pinot and More (Jersey City): We opened this last as we were curious to see what it would taste like. It was a blend of, I believe, the largest percentage being sauvignon blanc. It wasn't cool enough so we did not give it a fair shot. The note I took indicated that it was fortunate that it was a blend as it was more interesting that a 100% SB. Can some one add to this?

Smells like SB to me. The palate is very mineral at this point and the fruit is dropping off. Time to switch to 2008!

Citrus and good acidity with tropical fruits I don't recall from previous bottles. Great Rueda that you can't beat for the money.

Really tropical grapfruity punch. Almost like a New Zealand sauvignon blanc. Very good for the money at $9. Still a value at $12.
