Deep ruby in the glass with a concentrated core and a moderate burnt red meniscus. Aromas of dark fruit alongside crushed gravel, violets, and tobacco. Herbal and spice notes of bay leaf and cinnamon. Palate is inviting with ample acidity and finely integrated tannins.

Visual: dark ruby core, but showing some age with some of the color dropping out Nose: Cherry, violet, raspberry, cassis Taste: medium body, med- tannin, medium sweet, med/low alc, med+ acid... very enjoyable, but the fruit on the nose doesn't come through on the palette and the tannins are somewhat rough

Earth, truffle, dark red fruits and tobacco. Still showing nice color for the vintage, there is sweet and tart fruit, the wine is medium/full bodied, soft textured, and ends with a slightly dry, uncomplicated, fruity finish.

A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot. Earthy, savoury, spicy nose. Green peppers and bitter chocolate. Well structured, fresh acidity, good tannins. A little 'green' for my liking.

The challenges of the vintage can definitely be felt in this Cantenac Brown. A clear, dark ruby core and some promising fragrant aromas of cassis, blueberries and chocolatey oak lead to disappointment on the palate. The fruit is already in decline and overpowered by somewhat bitter and roughly edged tannins. The texture is still fairly unctuous but again there is a let down with the restrained finish. It is unlikely this will recover or improve with time. Drinking window: 2010-2015.

For sure not at the end of drinking window. Although not a good vintage but well balanced good Margaux 91.

Drank with friends at Surf 'n Turf, Pattaya, Thailand. Excellent wine, good food, beautiful setting.

Grass, medium weight, black currant, round and smooth, little pale character, no signs of maturity, still young.

A little fruit forward and not a long finish. Not a bad one, but modern in style. Drink it now.

Quatar flight. Still a little tight and perhaps too tanic. Hopefully time helps this along. For now, I would summarize as fair at best

Le Week-end des Grands Crus (Bordeaux): Rather accesible fruit already now but ought to gain a dimension in a few years.
