My last bottle and, honestly, more luxurious than previous. Thrilling aromas of blue & purple flowers & dense dark blue fruits. Sumptuous.. satisfying... ripe dark fruited tastes with an endless finish. Amazing wine. Perfect match with Asian influence, sous-vide (36 hours) beef spare ribs finished in the oven.

Luxurious, beautifully balanced. Deeply satisfying dark fruit, subtle smoke, well integrated & lithe palate. Could hold 4-5 more years in a good cellar.

Magnificent nose!! Opened 90 minutes before tasting... 95+

Decanted for 3 hrs and yet it showed its character at the end of the dinner, when there was a quarter of the juice left :( Before that it stayed disjointed, so make sure it get a good time in decanter. At the end it showed balance, inky character, harmony and perfect balance between sweet blueberry and freshness. Should not be touched for at least 5y from now.

I agree that this wine is just entering its drinking window. Was outstanding after sitting in a decanter after three hours...then Vacu-vined overnight and was still soft and supple the next day. A very well made bottle of wine.
Decanted for 6 hours, good portion of sediment. The wine needs the air to become nicely rounded. Lots of black fruits and chocolate. Oak is integrated and contributes to the solid structure of the wine. Alcohol is high 14,5, but well managed. All in all - excellent wine, made for the long run, it is just getting accessible now, enjoy.

A perfect cork. Dark purple. Soft, balanced and delicious with prominent blueberry. Not particularly complex. Will probably be at peak in about 5 years?

Dark berries dominate the nose, with some violets and spice. Long, elegant and silky palate - the tannin structure is quite something - of blackberry, blueberry, dark cherry, chocolate, licorice and spice. Absolutely seamless from front to back and amazing fruit concentration all in a wonderfully restrained package. A really great wine - the best Barossa I've had in quite a while.

Fantastic wine as expected. Quick decant revealed red and black fruits, some spice and cloves as well as a hint of oak. It's a Barossa blockbuster no doubt, but in a restrained and refined way. High class.

Opaque, glass staining dark cherry fades into a red rim. Fruit-Forward but not overdone or candied. Vanilla, chocolate, liquorice, smoke, cherry, blackberry, plum. Smooth, ripe tannins with lovely acidity. Touch of heat on the end leading to a spicy lingering finish. Overall, a well balanced Shiraz done right.

9/10 - Great tasting wine for new world lovers. Very fragrant nose of plum, raspberries, pepper and a hint of charcoal and smoke. Very fruit forward taste of the same also with licorice and spice... and even a little metallic. Nice structured tannins. Very smooth. Just a bit high on the acidity side so acid lovers should enjoy that. Balanced and elegant wine and very fun to drink. None of the chemical candy fake-ness that plague some big aussie wines. Wife summed it as "Very Yummy". Mum liked the wine more than the rest of her meal. Regardless, still a definite no-go for old world maniacs. Drank at Morton's for dad's bday. S$255 / bottle from restaurant

This is one of those rare wines where when you drink it you think about it all the time afterwards, like a wonderful love affair. Intense flavors of licorice and wonderful notes of basil and anise, punctuated with great fruit, firm tannins, and a delicious oaky finish. Truly stupendous. Jane Ferrari of Yalumba poured me a taste of this at Prima Vini in Walnut Creek, California and I immediately fell in love with her because of the wine!

Dense black purple in colour; classy oak and perfumed dense brambly fruits, brooding; super concentrated licquorice and dark smoky fruits. Tannic and young. Needs time.

Very layered in both nose and palate. Nose gives definite red fruit, iron, thyme, juniper berries. Very merlot-like in it's iron character on palate. Incredibly interesting - velvety - keeps changing every time I take a taste. Getting mocha on finish. Todd says, "it has a presence in your mouth". I agree.

Dark purple/black colour. Amazing nose. When bottle opened, it smelt like a fresh toasty barrique. Lashings of sweet oak, chocolate and black fruit. The palate is smooth, in fact, velvety. Not, perhaps, as 'big' as the nose would suggest, but still very concentrated and mouth filling. Tannins are very ripe and round but it's definately not flabby. An intreging wine that gives a lot.

Negociants Icon Tasting (Petroleum Club): I've always enjoyed this one as well, however this didn't deliver as anticipated. Jammy raspberries, spice, and eucalyptus on nose. The palate isn't as rich or concentrated as ddesired. Spicy red berry fruit, tobacco, and tea leaves. Finishes jammy and hot.

Terrific wine after a 2 hour decant. Still has that big Shiraz somewhat syrupy make-up, but pairs well with a nice rare steak!

Disappointing. Although good wine that opened up after six plus hours decanting, came up short: either beyond it's time or never for there.
