Note: I use a scale on which 85 represents a very good wine.
Nice bottle. I agree with axelrad "It's great with food, light and yet meaty in that Loire red way.". Did not strike me as that sophisticated, but it was satisfying -- which is the point isn't it?

Lots of tobacco and leafy aromas, with a dense and savory palate that is bone dry and yet lingering. Very nice wine and doesn't seem to be on the downward slope yet.

Bricking dark cherry red color; brett, tart cranberry, very tart cherry, oregano nose; mature, tart cranberry, brett, dried herbs, rosehips palate with firm, drying tannins yet; medium-plus finish 87+ points

This is the kind of wine I should drink every regular day. It's great with food, light and yet meaty in that Loire red way. I wouldn't guess this to be the same grape as in an Argentine Malbec.

My first of three bottles. Deep, dark and almost inpenetrable red color. Almost like a black Cahors. Full bodied with beef blood and plenty of tannic grip on this youthful red. A massive wine for the Loire Valley. Somewhat rustic and four square butvery satisfying on a base level. Country wine at its best and an absolute bargin for the price. A great cooking wine in the best sense that you cook, and imbibe the same wine during preparation and finish the bottle with the meal without guilt.

Nice, simple, not significant improvement with aeration. Poor value. Garagiste over hyped this. Lots of French and Italian wine as good or better for less.

Rpe in a smoky way, this is light to medium bodied, quite silky and gentle on the extract, but without any sense of hollowness, although the finish is hardly "impressive." While I disagree with Jon Rimmerman's assessment of this as substantially tannic, this nevertheless does show a resemblance to Clos Roche Blanche (which I consider to be high praise), especially in its delicious aftertaste of fresh, pure, ripe yet bright berries.

Opened 1st bottle which was heavily corked. Immediately opened another. The 2nd bottle revealed a very light but well balanced red wine with little, if any, negative qualities. Slight nose. From other reviews it sounds like this wine needs time to breath, but I decanted this wine and let it sit for an hour or more so I doubt that I missed much. OK for an everyday drinker.

Rich dark fruits, anise and tar. Light mouthfeel, delicate fruit, good acitity. Short to medium finish. Interesting wine, ripe new world nose, but delicate almost thin palate.

It's been noted many times, I know, but this Loire Cot and almost any Argentine Malbec are as far apart in style (and, to me, attractiveness) as Touraine and Mendoza. This wine is light, airy, almost, crisp, a tad hollow in the middle, but nothing to worry about. The finish is nice and long and tastes of metal and a sharp, almost lemony brightness. The nose is pretty subdued, though it begins to show some flash after an hour or so. I'd be hard pressed to identify this grape in a blind tasting, but I'm pretty sure I could nail the region. It's not so different from other Loire reds--Cab Francs and Gamay blends; a more experienced or discerning palate could probably call the variety. Regardless, I approve.

First thought - I should drink more wines like this. I really liked the mouthfeel: light yet minerally, low tannin, bright acidity. Nicely red but translucent (BTW - already throwing a good bit of sediment) with a nose that wasn't particularly expressive. In the mouth, I remember mostly the feel, and the note of iron on the finish, rather than specific flavors.

Gamy and funky, with strong leafy notes and strong acidity. A wine geek's wine for sure.

Dark brooding fruit with dusty tannins. Rustic, simple, straightforward. Nice with food. I really like this wine. Alcohol is 12.5%. No obvious oak.

Nice little wine, good acidity balanced by subdued but soft, pure dark fruit flavors.
