I have had other vintages which were better. I found it a bit too raisin-y. I was hoping that there would be more complexity of flavor. I found it too one-note. I have other ports and dessert wines in my celler. I wish I had chosen differently that day. The bottle was a gift, and I am grateful for the gift, and friends that give wine as gifts.

Yum - a tasty desert wine, excellent balance. The perfect compliment to ice cream with Doug and Brie, who both loved it too. Worth getting another bottle.

Overall satisfactory. Sweetness a bit overwhelming when newly uncorked. Agree with other note that putting in the fridge for a few days helps balance the flavors.

98% saturated ruby color. Big fruit and alcohol nose without the rot smell often found in LHZ. Thick cherry and blueberry, licorice, and vanilla flavors and not very sweet. In fact, I'd call this semi-dry and can pretty much be consumed like a dry table wine. I blended 50/50 with some cabernet and the result was awesome. Very interesting wine and I'll probably try some more. Much better imb than the '04 version. (5+11+16+6) = 88

Typically good however, after leaving half the bottle in the refridgerator for a week, the sweetness "flattened" out a bit and made it an even better desert wine.

Crazy good dessert wine. Late harvest Zin made by one of the best in the business. At 17% alcohol, it doesn't overwhelm you as some will do...just lush and fantastic.

Seemed a little weak and thin compared to other vintages. Not quite as hearty to stand up to a cigar.
