Nose promised more than the wine delivered - lacking in the mid-palate. Better with food (84) than on its own (82). To be fair this was a poor year for B'x.

Drank a few bottles over the last 2 months. All still good despite its age and RP’s recommendation to drink it between 2011-2014. Not a very good year, but a friendly, medium bodied wine. Easily accesible. Some hints of cherry and laurel.

Ok, first let me say that I am very critical of French wines. I usually dismiss them as lackluster and not to my taste profile. So, looking at a $19 bottle I was prepared to pour it down a drain. But, hold on, this is a winner of a wine. It was beautiful in the glass, fair to the nose, but really shined in the mouth. Nice big flavor profile and reasonable finish. Dang, wish I had more of this in cellar. Drink up, toast to the French.

Enjoyable with a variety of foods. A little leather and funk on the nose. Medium/light weight. Well resolved tannins, medium acidity, sufficient fruitiness. Shortish finish. Very pleasant.

On Emirates flight. Dark garnet almost to the rim, smooth dark fruit and spices, on the mid-palate the wines has this slight hollowness from a so so vintage and a slightly clipped finish. Nevertheless this is pretty good for an 07.

Heavily recommended in this year's 'foire des vins'. Yet again I find myself disappointed by a medium-priced Bordeaux. I think this wine is one of those that does well at tastings, but it's not a wine you want to spend time with. The nose is excellent, meaty, perfumed, blackcurrant, warm leather. In the mouth: thin, only light to medium bodied, acid and still some tannin. I'll try to stick to my own advice and not to drink the second bottle until at least 2017, but I don't hold out much hope.

Liked this one, nice classic right bank nose with cassis, cigar case and soil. Medium weight, smooth tannins and fair length. Mature and well balanced.

Fully mature, medium bodied, with a truffle, licorice, herb and black cherry personality, this requires drinking sooner than later.

Great, especially for the price. Will buy more and lay down for a few years.

Dark ruby, currant, blackberry, a little wood, needs 2 or more years in the bottle. Not bad after half an hour breathing. Short finish.
