Tasting pretty solid right now. Probably a little past it’s peak but bright ripe fruit and medium tannins linger on the palate. Cork with beautiful crystalization was starting to disintegrate - take care when opening.

Finally has come around the bend and is simply sensational right now with its blackberry fruit, chocolate, and spice character. Smooth and eased on the palate. Beautiful, drink up.

Very good, not great. Would drink again. Strong aroma of dark fruit initially. Taste is a little more subdued with some oil and smooth finish. Would drink now and next 2 years.

Excellent, quite big and bold but not over the top, lovely and intense - Black, full bodied with a nose of plum, cherry, blueberry, pepper and vanilla, very well made, balanced, complex, smooth as silk on the palate with excellent length, outstanding (90 Points).

Opened and decanted. Dark, dense purple hue in color. Lot's of chunky sediment in the bottle so be sure to decant. For some reason the cork is crystalized internally in every '05 Dunham Syrah that I have ever sampled which is kind of unique. The cork is actually holding up well with minimal saturation. Fruity! Smells of strawberries, red cherries and crushed blackberries. Fruity midpalate and short, but pleasing finish. This is a great value Syrah and this vintage seems to be improving. I have many of these in my cellar and often serve them to guests (who have Really enjoyed this wine) but aren't quite as experienced as many CT'er members. I still think this wine is improving, but I'm not sure yet where the peak is...

Deep dark ruby red in color. The cork was crystalized internally with a fair amount of sediment in the bottle. Very fruity bouquet with smells of ripe berries. Enjoyable Syrah with a jammy midpalate. Soft spicy finish with light tannins. This wine opens up reasonable well over the first 1-2 hours of decanting. Not too acidic - should drink now or over the next 5 years max. Nice Syrah. B Dub.

Not as meaty as some WA syrah, lighter, but it was sitting in my glass a while. I want to really like it, but I need to drink it more to decide. We shall see.

Slightly vegetal nose with plum. Medium bodied and a little tight on flavor. Very tart, acidic finish. Borderline flaw.

Right off the cork pull shows its oak strongly with lots of vanilla and meat. But its comin' around the bend. Throwing lots of sediment.

Other bottles of the same wine have made more distinct impressions, including those sampled 2-3 years ago. Still a solid wine.
