Ruby hue. Red/blue fruits on the nose, little spice. Nice juice-- drinking well at this time. Fruity, silky, slight raspberry, blackberry, black cherry, sweet tobacco, earthy. Enjoyed this bottle with beef tenderloin, carrots, potatoes, mushrooms. Terrific!

Decanted 2.5 hours. The nose evolved after that, with exotic spices predominating at first then more usual black fruits. Palate - silky smooth plum and black raspberry. Well-integrated and well balanced. Long pleasant finish. Great with food - served with a hearty stew.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like red currant and sandalwood. It tastes like honeysuckle. The body is medium/full. The wine has satin-like texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

At the winery, along with the '12. Huge perfumy nose, massive black cherries on the nose and palate, smooth refined tannins, well integrated. Gorgeous wine. Blows away the '12 in terms of fragrance and palate intensity.

very good. Could use a few more years of agging. Smooth, well integrated. Absolutely nothing to nitpic. If their was a bit more going on, these would have been in even more truely rarified air.

Seriously good stuff. Approaching its optimal drinking window (imho), but still a touch young.
