From a great looking bottle (moisture stained label, high fill, branded cork), this wine had a yellow center and clear rims.
The medium+ intensity nose showed lemon custard, apple, honey, and some white stone. This was impressive right from the start. While it became more balanced and longer with 3+ hours of air, I am not sure most people will keep it out of their glass that long.
In the mouth it was rich and ripe but with a firm edge of white stone and acid, that ran from the mid palate to the long finish, that dominated this wine.
More serious than the overtly friendly Combettes and Pucelles, this is a lovely wine for seafood. In great condition, like this bottle, it will easily last another 10 years. Impressive!

Roland/Louisa dinner with Douglas/Jen, Har/Heidi, Hendrick/Sylvia, Arthur/Marcia (West Villa): rich and intense with beautiful notes of honeysuckle and minerals.
