nose of forest - fungal wood, actually toasted fungus (there's a toasted aspect), sour cherry and redcurrant, savoury, dairy farm over the hill; smooth palate yet there's nice grippy tannins, supporting acidity, wonderful balance, this is fantastic really, OK maybe not the best Burg but I'm deprived, this is great! and has years haeasd of it

Leiden in Burgundy October 2009; 10/22/2009-10/23/2009: Ruby garnet color. Mature, fully developed. Nose: caramel, red fruit, little rusticity. Taste full of velvety soft red fruit, good minerality, long aftertaste, excellent.
