  • Popped and poured then followed for several hours. Medium ruby with rust hints. Nose of musty cherry, raspberry, violets, earth, iodine. Bing cherry, dark raspberry, brier, subtle iron elements, stone and well-integrated oak notes on the palate, which seemed to exhibit dusty velvet texture and polish at the same time. Fresh acidity and smoothed tannin. Longer finish of dried cherry, earth, and subtle spice in a harmonious array. Nicely done.

  • Color: Light purple with light legs
Aroma: Hints dark cherry, forest floor, wet rocks
    Taste: Dried cherries
Structure: Firm, front to mid-palate. It did not let the fruit come out right away
    Finish: Medium
For a Clos Vougeot not great, but for a Burgundy in the price range it was more than adequate. Needs more time to let the tannins mellow and the fruit come out.
