What a lovely wine - this wine is still screaming with intense tannins and smokey notes - lovely!! This was the first true varietal true Cabernet Sauvignon from Yatir, until then all the Cab was blended into the blend of the Forest. The wine is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Shiraz. The nose on this purple to black colored wine is screaming with oriental spice, rich leafy tobacco, cloves, black fruit, and roasted herb. The mouth on this full bodied shows still searing tannin, toasty notes, spicy oak, along with layers upon layers of concentrated cassis, blackberry, raspberry, and mouth coating tannin. The finish is long with intense earthy notes, mineral, heavy graphite, chocolate, and dates that recede over time. BRAVO!!! This wine will last for another 3 or so years. The wine is at peak, not improving from here. Enjoy now as the sweet notes are rising and why wait - you have a wine at peak - enjoy it there!!!

Medium to full body, deep ruby red color, aromatic, forest berries, ripe plum, spicy and woody aroma, blueberry, red fruits, spices and oak on the palate, spicy and peppery on finish, medium long finish, powerful, complex and balanced, nice acidity, completely integrated tannins. Food friendly. Associates with meat or fowl. Serve 18º - 22º. Open half hour in advance. Drink now.

Excellent, full bodied, deep purple collor. Has great black/forest fruits on the nose, and a very long finish. Lots of sedinminet, still maturing, drink now, but save some for the future

As with every nearly bottle of wine I have enjoyed from this winery over the years, an extremely enjoyable oenophilic experience. This was Yatir’s fist Cabernet Sauvignon varietal which was released to great (and justified) critical acclaim, which has happily continued to be justified over the years. Initially opened with some trepidation due to some complaints here of a high alcohol, “hotness” and a lack of residual sugar which dissipated rapidly on first whiff. Deep, long, rich and generous, this is an extremely elegant wine that has come into its own with elegant fruit and a nice array of secondary notes of earth and forest with a hint of warm spices leading into a long and caressing finish with tobacco, chocolate and cedar. Enjoyed over the course of Friday night dinner, the wine was vibrant throughout the meal (although it went pretty quickly). I have a few more bottles left and, while I am not sure it’s going to get any better, the wine easily has a couple more years on it of peak enjoyment, if not more.

Deep garnet is color. Very concentrated and rich. Black fruit, dirt, tobacco. Full bodied with well integrated tannins. Finish is long with rising spice and smoke on the finish...and tons of heat! Major alcohol bleed through on this bottle. Pretty sure it's bad. Will retry.

Still young, but developing nicely since November. Great QPR and a great wine as a compliment to the forest. Yatir continues to impress with three 2005 blockbusters.

Drank remaining glass in bottle after vacum sealing for two days. Excellent Bordeaux like blend - cassis and blackberry, soft tanins - long and elegant. Could easily score higher with some cellar time. 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot and 10% Merlot

Excellent, full bodied cab. Still young and tight, but really, really nice. Joins the group of great QPR Israeli wines - Yarden Cab, Yiron and Yiron Syrah.

Good, but less interesting than the Shiraz. Black/purple. Fresh forest fruit nose. Powerful attack of cassis and black cherries. Smooth tannins on a gravel/mineral/cedar background showing some cinnamon and an almost lemony acidity preparing for a long finish with some vanilla, and a bit, bit of cooked fruit.

Awesome. Fully mature, should hold peak for a while, but can't imagine it gets much better. Black fruits on the big nose and palate. Really great

Definitely a little Napa - but a lot going on - the Merlot and Petite Verdot soften and add complexity - this could get even better in a few years.
