First bottle must have been open a while as it was kind of flat. Second glass from a fresh bottle was nice. Nothing spectacular or really even noteworthy but it was a pleasant lightweight Pinot Noir.

Pretty, PN nose. Rich and Californian, but still has some of the elegance of the Pinot Noir. This seems like great fruit. Unfortunately they made this a little top heavy with the oak, but it's still a nice value PN. It's a little sad to think how much better it could have been if the winemaker didn't mess it up. 88+

Ruby red color. Cherry, spice and hints of tobacco, smoke and earth flavors with fine tannins. Improved dramatically after breathing for a few hours; the fruit and spice became more predominant and the tobacco, smoke and earth flavors faded. The result was much better balance.

Totally fantastic. I have really loved everything I've had from X winery, and I have not been let down. It's more temperature-dependent than other pinots I've had, but when it's at that perfect temp you get that amazing blend of fruit (not jammy) that you get from pinot. Not too oaked or alcoholy either. Deep fruit to help keep that jamminess down as well. More on the berry/plum side than the cherry. Very high QPR. One of those wines that when I drink it my thought is "I need a case of this right now"

1st night - Some nice fruit - a little too much oak. A little heat. Heat more noticeable on 2nd night.

So glad I saved this until I came around to actually liking pinot noir. Aromatic. Bright, crisp, fruity. Long balanced finish.

Hot 14.5 but good. Decent complexity and good fruit.
