Our last bottle...tannins have softened noticeably since we our last tasting a bit over a year ago. I noticed a hint of mint or menthol that don't remember being present in the previous bottles. The dark berry fruit may have muted a bit, but not much. Still a really nice bottle of wine....

P n Slow Oed for 45. Black fruit on nose, some earth. Dark n bold in glass. Some heat but not offensive. Enjoyed over sev hours. Not sure worth the tariff, but enjoyable. Wish I could find my 05 to compare. No sed.

Decanted 2 hours, cherries, leather, some herbs and a full med/long finish. A little too much heat from the 15.3% alcohol which distracted from the complexity.

Chocolate, cherries, raspberries, leather, glycerin and even a touch of maple. Full and dense but shows too much warmth from the 15.3% alcohol. Such a shame since we felt it masks the complexity of the finish.

Drinking great right now but still young. A creative blend of Sangio and Syrah, they have beautifully melded and the wine has great balance and a long pleasant finish.

Beautiful nose of fresh fruit and some florals. On the palate, rich and deep flavors with the syrah dominating, but the sangio is definitely showing its presence. Good fresh acidity, but the finish is a little short and showing a little bit of heat from the 15%+ alcohol. Enjoyed very much with pasta with tomato sauce and pork.

50% sangiovese & 50% syrah. Wonderful combo showing the almost sweet strawberry Stolpman sangio and the creamy/smokey dark fruits of their syrah. A little disjointed perhaps because the full bodied syrah and medium bodied sangio are still pretty seperate and distinct. But delightful and surprisingly great with steak :)

Delicious, rich, round black cherry/blueberry/blackberry fruit with sweet cassis and moca flavors, excellent structure, little tight, ample tannins, could use 1-2 years to soften

With grilled lamb. Initially simple then open over 30 mins to classic California syrah character coupled with berries and rich fruit. Too much alcohol lowered score.

Coravined a glass. Lots of heat and wood. Heat gets in the way of potentially really yummy dark red and black fruit.

Tannic bold wine and was great with red meat. Decanting was a must.

Very good bottle. Tannic at the start, needed 30 minutes of decanting to soften. Dark purple color with loads of berry smells and tastes.
