Rouge grenat dense. Nez expressif, tabac doux, vieux cuir, fruit très mûre, cacao. En bouche, tanins tout à fait intégré mais maintenant une bonne structure, soyeux, saveurs généreuses en continuité des odeurs percues, framboise noire, cacao, le vin demeure souple et d'un grande buvabilité. Le style de vinification n'est peut--être pas représentatif du Rioja car Telmo Rodriguez s'inspire des méthodes françaises traditionnelles selon Alan McGinty sur Wine align, voir: http://www.winealign.com/wines/12729-Compania-De-Vinos-Telmo-Rodriguez-Lanzaga-2006 Malgré l'alcool et l'âge (6 ans) , une certaine légèreté en bouche. Des tanins souples et une acidité vibrante rend le vin agréable et digeste. Avec l'aération, je distingue également un coté animal, tel l'étable et le foin humide, caractère que j'apprécie toujours dans les pinots. Bon rapport complexité-plaisirs - prix

Smoked oak with violet notes. Aerated but still needed another hour before becoming quite enjoyable. Drank over 3 1/2 hours and by the end I wish I started 2 hours in. Very good at the end.

Good rioja with not the typical overwhelming vanilla and American oak flavors. But I felt it lacked a little bit of depth. Good, nice balance, ripe tannines (but you can certainly keep it for a number of years), but just missing today that a little bit extra...
