Still very nice! Drank it two weeks ago and really didn't take notes except remembering it was still tasting like honey as I sipped it. I had it in the frig for a week and it never faltered. Sorry for not writing anything down!

Previous bottle had a partially compromised cork and signs of oxidation - not so this time, just a nicely aged dessert wine. Apricot, honey and pineapple nose with fruit cocktail palate featuring peach preserves. Tart pineapple finish.

Wine starting to seep up side of cork, some oxidation apparent but otherwise still very enjoyable. Guess I better start popping more corks as I am sitting on a case of these.

My second bottle of two, two Thanksgivings after the first. Again quite nice, punching above its weight, with not-TOO-sweet tropical fruit and a penetrating green resinous herbal note combining to provide unexpected complexity and balance; much more satisfying than, say, any Moscato I've had in this price range. The male half of a French couple at the table commented that this was very reminiscent of his local wines back home - Jurançon - though this was a bit sweeter.

Gold with light orange. Grass, dried apricot, and honey on the nose. No marijuana this time (not sure if it was from more time or bottle variance). Apricot, pineapple, and mango on the palate. Not cloying. Q87/D89

Love this wine! Tropical fruits on the nose along with a floral/grassy component. It doesn't quite register as a ganja smell to me but it's close enough that I can see where others say that. Palate is bursting with fruit - nectarines, apricots, peaches, tangerines, green apples, pears, grapefruit... and a nice tart acidic ZING on the finish.

Really nice! Not cloyingly sweet. Pear, Meyer lemon, herbs. Ha, I enjoyed all the MJ comparisons, though having toted the wine eight or ten Harlem blocks from girlfriend's to our Thanksgiving hosts' place - the atmosphere thick with ganja smoke most of the way - none of the three of us who enjoyed the wine made the association at the time.

Wine tasting. All very much enjoyed this wine and others also made the marijuana comment that others have made. The sweetness is nicely balanced with a herbal note that is very pleasant.

NC Cindy Tasting. Dark straw color, I'm told the nose on this is what marijuana smells like to a Republican. Personally, I also thought there were a lot of overripe pears and some more conventional herbal notes. On the palate, this was very much like a sweetened red grapefruit juice, but there were additional botrytis complexities. This was somewhat like Sauternes meets Muscadine. Overall, this was hardly profound, but it was interesting and probably worth what I'm told was an under-$15 purchase price for a 375ml bottle.

I echo dbcomposer's comments exactly. When initially opened, very strong smell of marijuana. Seriously! This faded though to more of a grassy/mango smell. Taste echoed the nose. Not too sugary at all. I like this very much.

Sight: Golden yellow Smell: grassy. at first there was a strong smell of marijuana, but that quickly faded to mango Taste: citrus, lemon, and grass. Mango appears as it opens up. Pineapple juice on the finish.
There is no hint of sugar. The sweetness comes through the fruit. Not cloying at all...very refreshing.

Nice light fruity nose, predominantly pear & lemon/lime. Slightly sweet on the palate, but not overly so. Good fruit flavors, well balanced & nice acidity.

Very different! Not exceptionally sweet, especially for a "dessert" wine. Strong grassy, and a little vegetal notes on the nose, present but less so on the palate.

10% A pear-y nose. Good palate. Initially fresh, then there’s some sweetness, which builds. It stays clean and fresh throughout though. I have to say, I’m not sure vignoles (the grape) is supposed to be like. But this is a good, gentle sweetie.

Good sweetness level and enjoyable, but not very complex. My first time with this grape, so not much to compare it to.

Still very good. This Vignoles grape has unusual characteristics as noted but also a bit of citrus and herbal notes. Not cloyingly sweet.
