This was a nice old school Cali Cab. Brought by another attendee at SKurtz’s place. Rich and balanced and not overdone in any respect. Quite tasty and better the more air it got. Didn’t take detailed noted unfortunately.

Popped and poured held up also nicely second day. Aromas of wood and spices. Taste of dark fruit, spices and more acidic than i expected. Tannins mostly resolved but sure it could go several more years. Second day was better.

Beautiful complex aromas: spices (cardamon, sandal wood, etc.), truffles, plumb. Likewise complex and enjoyable on the palate with black fruits, prune, a hint of dark chocolate, and characteristic licorice and fresh acidity. Mature, but can probably age for many more years

This might be the last 1993 Cab in my cellar. Still dark with an impressive nose loaded with sweet black currants, toasty oak, blackberries and spice. Medium-full bodied, minty and round, this is voluptuous and just rolls languidly over the palate. Still sweet and dense, with fresh acidity this is just fantastic! Drink now-2022. 93

Dark colour w/out much sign of aging. Waxy marshmallow on the nose. Roasted meat and green veggies w quite a bit of blackberry and tannins. Medium finish. It's the least my children could for me tonight.

At the winery. Awesome!! Strong earthy aromas, currants on the nose, mineral red fruit and tannins on the palate. So close to a fine bordeaux (except for the minerality of course). Great complexity and otherwise consistent with my notes from two years ago.

Tobacco, cedar and red fruits on the nose. Fresh and vibrant with pretty cherry, graphite and spice. Nice finish, good tannin and acid balance. In a great place. 92 points

It's been about a month since I've had this, and I've purposely delayed writing a note because I wanted to give it its proper due. But a note can't, not this time, anyway. That said, this was fantastic, checking all of the boxes that an aged California Cab can have; aged in the sense that it's got some years one it, but that it's also got many, many yet ahead. Still youthful in color, the nose and palate both follow through on that suggestion delivering powerful aromas, excellent phenolics, penetrating layers of red and (some) black fruits, and a tantalizing finish that builds as it lingers. A sense of place, combined with a perfect pick date, not much more I can ask for; one of my best surprises this year. Drink now or hold for at least 5-7 more years. highly recommended
Slow-O 3 hours, served blind to my guests.

Purchased at the winery, decanted for dinner at Farm in Napa. Beautiful nose, sandalwood, tobacco, and hints of red fruit. Lots of cranberry, bright cherry, and graphite. Still some smooth tannins to hold it together like a silk glove. Although this was excellent, and drinking very well in its window, it lacked some of power, intensity, and spice shown by the 1995, which I tasted earlier at the winery.

Good nose. Blackberries and smoke. Cork was very brittle. Would not have lasted much longer. Heavy sediment needed to be strained. As result seemed very thin and light on the tongue. Taste of dried fruit lightly smoked. Color was definetly that of an older wine. Finish was the best part. Very low on tannins and no bite. Had it with a salad and halibut. Could not have handled beef or pork in my opinion.
There is heavy sediment in the bottle. The body is light. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.

Was very concerned because the cork crumbled and the remnants had to be pushed in and the bottle filtered into the decanter. Than being said, the wine, after 1hr of decanting opened up into a wonderful wine that was on it's way down from it's prime. Still in a great drinking window and should be enjoyed within the next several years. Fruit, earth, spice and tannin were in a very nice balance.

Soft cork broke in two. Moderate amount of small to medium sediment. Typical old wine smell. Decanted about 7 hours before first tasting. Ugh, pretty oxidized or at least on a downhill slide.

decanted for about an hour. Really impressive showing for this wine. Tight at first but really opened up with cassis and black cherry on the nose with some high tone VA (in a good way). Sweet on the palate. Delish

Popped and poured. Deep, rich color extending to the rim. Very fragrant, fresh fruit and herbs, with lots of life remaining. Extremely smooth and elegant. A delicious expression of Cabernet with outstanding balance.

From magnum. Maturing rich red and black Cabernet fruits. Ripe for the vintage, and sort of walks the classic-modern style line. Fine tannins and good weight. Room for improvement. Delicious.

This great wine had peaked. Still had a nice complexity without the primary fruits being up front.

This is a beautifully balance wine. Still plenty of primary black fruits, and the typical Seavey sweetness on the back end.
