Oaky butter usually isn't my style, but this one had enough apple and citrus fruit to balance it out nicely. A hint of crushed rock too. Should have bought more at closeout price from Winex.

Elegant and pleasant. Bottle open about an hour. Light faintly spicy cooling nose. In the mouth silky or creamy but not glycerin-ish with ripe just slightly sweet fruit (a mix of light lemon, nectarine, and golden apple) with a smooth and fading finish. Dryish to off-dry. Body medium, acid medium.

Wow, this bottle was so different from when we liked this wine at a blind tasting a year ago. The fruit has checked out! Lots of honey with a bit of butterscotch and some apricot notes. Smooth and easy to drink, but might be on its way out. Unless this bottle was an outlier.... we'll see.

Good chardonnay. Bright, clear, dark yellow, green apple, floral, hint of honey followed by buttery notes. Balanced, decent acidity, alcohol on the low side considering it is California chardonnay, creamy mouthfeel, balanced. Worked very well with BBQed salmon marinated in maple syrup. Nothing exceptional but good food wine.

A nice Chardonnay, light oak, nice buttery from the sur lie aging. Lovely clear light gold colorReceived as gift & just drank with roast chicken dinner. I'm not sure of the price point ($12ish?), but worth picking up for a night around the house.

On the tale end, possibly, still good, pretty good, actually, but may have started to lose substance and structure if held onto for another 6-12 months.

On the nose, buttery and apple, with maybe some pear. The palate is very big and oak-filled, but smooth and reasonably well-balanced for this price point, with enough acidity to compensate for the round mouthfeel. Won't blow your socks off, but easy to find and has been extremely reliable year-to-year.

This is just about our favorite Sonoma County chardonnay these days. Yes it has a bit of oak but is well balanced and a good sipper. I think I'm gonna stock up on this because most of the 2008 chardonnay we have sampled at this price point is pretty one dimensional...

Sebastiani wine are sold at a great price point. This has to be the VERY best $13 Chard I've ever had! The bottle says it was oak aged for 7mo in both frence and hungarian barrels. It's nice to taste a chard with that much oak and see that there can still be a nice acidity. 6reat everyday wine!

Probably past its prime. Still pretty good, though: spinach stuffed ravioli with grilled vegetables and grated reggiano. Too bad it didn't age well...

Again, the fruit was mostly gone in this bottle and it was strongly honey flavored. Used most of it for cooking.

Fat and buttery with massive, weighty oak and lots of vanilla overpowering the pear and baked apple fruit.

Just what we like in a low-cost chard - balanced butter and fruit.

Binny's Spring California Night (Binny's Highland Park, highland park IL): nose: decent nose with butter, bits of tropical fruits and a hint of citrus tones. Fairly standard, but with a bit too much butter
taste: straight forward tones of butter and citrus. Not very complex or with much depth, but that shouldn't be expected from a $10 chard
overall: it is what it is, not much more and not much less
