Drank while fighting a cold, so I don't really trust my palate, and hence no rating. What I could taste seemed to be a lot of heat and not much fruit. Wonder what my last 3 bottles have to offer.

Blow out good. Trying to get more. Was great beyond expectation (seems to be a theme) Broke it out with the Havas matriarchy and since it was a 2nd bottle didn't want to drop a fidee. Who knew, right up there. Harkens back to the days of yore, rockpile petite syrah, the beach in saus, orgies and what not (there goes the governorship)
to the point of wine: was surprisingly smooth and speaking of syrah, very full flavor. more syrupy goodness than one would expect.

Overoaked but at least the oak smells good. Very reminiscent of an actual high toast barrel - like you are sitting in the cask room itself - smells like real wood. Smokey, oaky, toasty, a slight bit of vanilla, but less of the sweet oak and more of the smoke. It really overpowers much else in the nose. Maybe some blueberry, but I'm stretching for it.
On the palate, the oak is dominant again, along with medicinal, sweet strawberry and blueberry fruit lighter fruits than I'd expect. Ludicrously thick mouthfeel, I tagged it at a minimum of 15% and the label reads 14.8. Feels Flabby, though there is good acid behind it all, just overpowered by too much alcohol and fruit. Loads of tannins. I wonder how this would be in another 5 years - it seems to have so much ov so much in there that it may just need to meld in bottle, but at this point it is all the worst of California at once. But it is tasty like a dumb blonde, and I think there are a lot of people out there who would think it was great.

Certainly better than I expected. A very typical Amador Zin - big flavors and powerful finish. The taste had some tobacco and earth, as well as the expected dark fruits. Great BBQ wine, I think. Side note: the zin from this vineyard was a favorite of mine from the Sonora Wine and Port Works. I was very interested as to what Rosenblum would do with the same vineyard and fruit. Though I like Sonora's wine better, I am pleased with this result.

Very pleasant surprise. Brought to the fig and shared with Davis clan. Quite a bit of taste for $25. Very flavorful and unique. Plum thing going in a very good way. Highly recommend. Had that damned Frisee Lardon Salad again...maybe its the bacon and egss making all these wines taste good.

Nice jammy nose. Dark berries on the palate. A medium bodied zin (by Rosenblum standards at least). Almost no oak. Not very complex either. Both surprising for a Rosenblum zin. Still though a nice, sturdy wine.

As expected - fruity, oaky and full bodied. Loads of vanilla and wood to the oak, disjointed and overpowering, heartburn inducing. Fruit is sweet and sticky, a bit cloying. I'm hoping it will all have chilled out a bit day 2.

Nice notes of blackberries. Smooth, not overly complex but not too simple. Has held up well and still has some life left.

Very fruity. Tastes more expensive than it is. Sweet and tannic. Low acid. Delicious grown-up pop.

Decent fruit, but it is fading with age. Alcohol starts to show as a result. So, this is a wine to drink now and not hold.

Better than previous bottle, but still somewhat lacking fruit. Baking spice, tannins, dark fruit, vanilla, in that order.

Nothing special a basic, everyday Zin. I expected more from this wine and Rosenblum based on the many other wines they have made.
