Decent, light-bodied, straight forward Oregon Pinot. There are many, many other Oregon Pinot Noir out there at a comparable price point I'd rather try for the first time before buying this again.

Sweet strawberry nose, like you ripped open a packet of strawberry koolaid and smelled the packet before you dumped it in the water. Basic palate of red berries, some spiciness and surprisingly some heat on the finish. Nice tasting wine though, very enjoyable at the price point. Acidity holds it all together, light tannins grip the sides of the tongue gently. Doesn't run on long, just pleasant fruits and then it's out the door.

2009 Memorial Day Tasting; 5/24/2009-5/25/2009 (Willamette Valley, Oregon): Their notes: "Densely colored in the glass, the wine offers a delightful nose full of red fruits and spice. On the palate it is medium bodied and offers lovely fruit flavors that are balanced by a kiss of well-integrated French oak, tannin and acidity." My notes - 13 1/2 percent alcohol - nice balance. Great nose of fruit and spice. But a bit disappointing. Bright. Chalky.

Tasty stuff as usual. Medium bodied, dark red in the glass. Fruit forward nose with notes of waxy crayola crayon and Eola rubber. Nice raspberry fruit with good acidity and decent finish. Still needs another 6 months to a year to come together.

Typical Oregon Pinot. Light. Slight cola taste. Basic Pinot. Should be $12-15 range. Paired with beef pizzaoila and sauted bok choy.

Nose: cherry and vanilla. More cherry and a little leather on the palate. Medium finish. Very nice for the money.
