Intense apricot on the nose, consentated but not dense or overwhelming in the mouth. Good acidity. This wine has improved a lot since I rated it 86 in 2010.

Light to medium bodied, faded fruit, mineral, and salinity, balanced with the right touch of acid. Enjoyed over two days. Great pairing with sushi! Otherwise consistent with my previous note. 91/92

This bottle came straight from the cellars of the winery, enjoyed while I was still in Germany. Lovely nose of honeysuckle, tangerine, spun sugar, but on the palate this is dry, medium bodied, round juicy stone and green fruit, hints of salinity, and a great acid finish. Great pairing with paté. Still tasty on Day 2.

A private lunch (Restaurant La Vie ***, Osnabrück, Germany): Rich but lively colour, correct for age; wonderful nose, expressive and pure, evolved but fresh, citrus and peach, waxy bottle-age, bright Riesling acidity, slate, hint of petrol, good depth; elegant palate, light to medium body (12% ABV), energetic and mineral, lovely balance and tension, ripe yet fresh fruit, vibrant bitters; grapefruit and tangerine finish, good length.

Yellow, ripe smell of citric peels. It is consentrated and dense, but it does not live ut to its potential at the moment. Rated 86 "as is" but it has the potential too become a lot better as time is on its side.

No rating tasted over one year ago. Nose of locker room and bitter honey. Dried fruit and wet earth on the palate with a hint of floral. Long finish of bitter honey and dried herbs. Probably the best dry riesling I have ever had, perfect acidity and will likely outlive anyone who owns it. Wait 5 years and drink forever.

Dinner at Bibou - BYOB in Philadelphia (1009 South 8th Street): Good acidity. Deeper yellow color. I was struck by the heft of this, as most Ratzenbergers I've had tend to be light and crisp. This had the crispness, but also some vanilla and a touch of sweet brown sugar. A zing of citrus on the palate with good spice and a nice clean crisp finish. Very good VDP dry Riesling at around $35.

Petrol and flowers on the nose. Acidity overpowered everything else.

Wonderful Riesling. Accompanied goose really well. Acidity and slight sweetness stood up went very well with the fatty goose.
