so you may have wondered why I would purchase such and old california wine? This was the first red wine that I fell in love with and I drank it after letting it sit about 12 hours after delivery. If you are heavily into bouquet this would not be the wine for you, though it managed some spice box in the bouqet but still a bit musty. This bottled must have been stored a perfect temp and humidity in the dark all this time because the cork was perfect. Its taste was unbelievable for its age. It still has mouth coating tannins and plenty of dark fruit flavor mixed with several baking spices including clove, allspice and cinnamon yet it had enough acidity to keep it going. I wouldn't recommend taking the chance I did, but in my case the $45 was well worth it. To taste yourfirst love inred wine more than 16 years later and actually have something to rememberis priceless. Bought off winebid.com, I would like to thank the person who lovingly cared for this wine over the past 20 yrs. Amazing show for a California Cab. It makes me have faith that my harlans will live such a long life.

Fresh, clean & lively with plenty of black cherry, currant and plum-tinged cabernet flavors with a note of mintiness. Firm tannins and toasty oak flavors bring up the rear. through 1998.

Old Wine Offline; 9/26/2014-9/27/2014 (The Room Off the Patio at Ruth's Chris, and My House): Generic but surprisingly pure fruit, almost primary. Lovely wine until it turns very hot through the finish. More air may have helped this one.
