  • Funky, lots of petrol and soil, some limey/kiwi-ish fruit, perhaps a hint of botrytis. Fleshes out some with air, but a bit faded. Not bad but well past prime.

  • Golden yellow color. The nose is slightly muted with a whiff of kerosene and yellow fruits. Surprisingly, the palate is not as powerful as a German riesling, but it displays subtle flavors of kerosene, minerals, pear, and fresh, spring water. I expected a dry wine, but this is off-dry with light sweetness and balanced acidity. The finish is pure with solid length. Overall, I expected a wine with more crispness and a little more intensity, but what I got was a very enjoyable wine that displays many of the classic riesling traits. It was a neutral match with avacado soup because the wine seemed to flatten out but paired well with spinach and bacon quesedillas because the quesedilla intensified the yellow fruits in the wine.
