This guy really benefits from a decanting or a slow drinking evolution. Color is an even, dark purple. Opens with a rotten fruit-in-a-barnyard aroma. After a few hours that blows off and is replaced by meaty, booze-steeped raisin and a little smoke. Opening taste is a bit mealy with over-ripened fig and an unctuous mouth feel. That moves into something much more seductive and classically Bordeaux, with crisp, sweet tannins; while still maintaining a Spanish lushness. Fun bottle if you can give it the time it deserves.

Drinking at its peak. Pencil lead followed by rich black fruit and vanilla. balanced and at 13.5% less in alcohol than one would expect! A perfect match for a lamb steak. Found as bin end at $ 9.95. What a steal regrettably it was on its own on the shelf! can't win 'em all!

Chocolate milk nose, with rosemary and dried herbs. Very Cabernet in character, nice cherry and red berry/cassis. Thins out on the finish, but well-balanced. Very enjoyable. Solid value at $13

Now after being opened for 24 hours,a deep nose , dark fruit en spices. Longer lasting. deeper taste then it had yesterday, excellent quality, it just needed some more air to evolve

OK, last bottle I tasted was in okt 2009, then lots of fruit and a long deep taste, rating at that time would have been 90. Now more vanillia and less fruit, sure an other phase of development, lets wait for at least another year and will taste tomorrow after 24 hours exposion in its own bottle.

Ripe and polished - certainly for fans of modern-style Spanish reds, this has a California feel to its new oak-accented notes of plum, currant and vanilla. Velvety tannins with a big round texture on the palate, low acidity and good length.

Near opaque; vibrant, fresh, strawberried fruit, not over oaked, blossoms in the glass; smooth tannins, has youthful drive & a purity of fruit, modern though well built. leave alone for 12 months - should evolve positively. Currently would recommend decant for 2 hours.

Drining quite smooth with a predominate inky flavorcombined with dark cherry, pencil lead and vanilla tones. Great wine for $11.
