Tasted September 5, 2006 at home as part of the Wino Depot Tasting With Friends Event for September. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Weiss Wein glass. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of orange peel, nutmeg, vanilla, pear and yellow apple. Flavors of clove/ginger, yellow apple, lemon/honey and vanilla. Medium acidity with light to medium body. Drink now. Based on my local retail price of $8.99 a bottle I’d say the value here is acceptable.

A good value from this oft-reliable producer. Full of oak, but not as overpowering as many similar-priced California counterparts. For the money, I'll buy this again to satisfy my once-in-a-blue-moon Chard craving.

Lemon on the nose, very rich and fruit forward, slightly acidic finish. Initially sweet and slightly sour finish.
