Last bottle, apparently way beyond the drinking window, but in fact just beautiful redcurrant and classic claret. But no tannin left - drink now and enjoy, this will gradually fade.

Can't believe I only gave this 88 last time. This was fresh crunchy redcurrants, firm tannic structure, went beautifully with roast belly of pork and apple sauce. Great now but no rush despite back label saying 2008 to 2014.

Basic but well made, 10 years old and probably at its peak. Firm tannic backbone but decent redcurrant fruit and a hint of blackberry. This will drink ok for quite a few years, but I fear the fruit will recede more quickly than the tannin will soften.

10 years is such a magical point for so many value Bordeaux's and this wine is no exception. I understand this wine to be a declassified wine of Latour so took a chance on what I believe to be a well priced and underated vintage...that is 2004. What a great surprise...this wine is drinking just beautifully. I will be picking up more at just $20 on the shelf. On release this was probably a $12 bottle. Sure Bordeaux is expensive at the top end but I known of no other wine that has the potential to develop into the wonder that is Bordeaux...for very little $$$. Ok, maybe Spanish but my bent is to Bordeaux. Enjoy!

Difficult to assess this wine. It had a very funky / vegetal nose which I have not experienced with any other bottle. Same deep dark colour. Bit of Liquorice on the palate with sweet tobacco and dark red fruits. Touch of oak. Easy drinking.

Beautiful nose. Rose petals, burnt sugar/molasses, dark cherry. Pepper. Deep red in colour. Full bodied. Bit of strawberry on the aftertaste. Tannins come through on the finish. This wine is great.

Deep opaque red in colour. Nose was bit closed to start with. Openned up with time to reveal lots of blackcurrant and hint of something artificial. Couldn't figure out what. Lots of fruit on the palate. Something of a wooden core running through to start with. Eased over time. Blackcurrant was dominant on palate. Overall smooth tannins. Great drinking claret.

Deep and bright red. Lovely red fruit nose of blackberry immediately on opening. I got hint of burnt wood after a while. Palate fairly smoothe with notes of vanilla, red fruits and touch of oak. This remains a great value for money wine. Very enjoyable.

Holding up just fine, quite fresh, redcurrant fruit, balanced tannin.

Fresh acidity, redcurrants, and firm tannins that suited roast beef.

Great little bottle of wine that is still available retail for $24. Even better second night open which is surprising for its age.

Not up to par with prior bottle but still a classic Bordeaux profile at 10 years age.

Great wine for the price point. Nice balance. Fruity nose but very mellow taste with a pleasant finish. Really enjoyed this.

Continue to be impressed by this wine. Great balance of fruit, acidity and tannin. Very smoothe, particularly after 30+ minutes of air.
