  • The 1994 Chappellet Chenin Blanc, decanted for thirty minutes has a medium gold appearance with flawless clarity. As would be expected from a twenty-year-old white wine, this wine offers a nose comprised of rich aldehydic cooked apples and pear characteristics. On the palate the wines begins rich but dry and pleasantly offers medium flavors of vanilla, peaches, cooked apricot, and honeysuckle. The amazing thing about this twenty year old wine is that it still has fine acid and cuts through food. Definitely a wine to enjoy with lighter dishes and cheeses. Drink now.
