Absolutely outstanding. Big juicy, carmelized dark fruit. Went well with the rib eye roast. Loved by all. Sadly drank along side a 2011 Linne Calado Overthinker and the Booker blew it off the tablet. My last bottle. Wish I had another case!!

The VA is noticeable and for the most part really distracting. Other aromas are leather, spice and red and black fruits. The sweetness of the alcohol is noticeable throughout the mid palate. When it comes to a big extracted style this is well made. The heat isn't overwhelming on the finish, instead there are lengthy tannins.

Opened this not realizing I had opened the '28' month version of the same only a couple of months ago . . . . Have to admit that there was not a lot of difference between the two; both showed as tremendously youthful with perhaps the regular bottling showing its alcohol a bit more (?).
Color: deep, nearly opaque ruby/purple -> deep, dark ruby rim. Highly perfumed bouquet of fresh flowers, vanilla, smoke, black cherries, Ouzo and earth. Palate showing super-rich and dense young black fruit (blackberries, black cherries), creamy vanilla, smoke and a little roasted meat. Texture is incredibly smooth and the finish is as long as the texture is silky with any tannins pretty much in hiding. The only concern would be that 15.7% alcohol which shows just a bit more than the '28' month version. Still have to admit that this wine still presents itself as very, very young.

Drinking quite well. A bit different than what I expected, very nice mouth feel with not even a touch of heat on the finish. A very nice front mouth finish if you will. Lots of flowers and fruits on the nose. Paired well with lamb loins but really sung on it's own after dinner. It got better as it was opened, decanted and consumed over a four hour period and kept getting better which leads me to believe it has a nice life ahead of it.

Decanted for 1/2 hour. Initial muted nose with earth nose. Opened up after some air time to bold fruit with some earth. Black, full bodied with a good finish.

Bustawinos V6 (Jorge Jr's apartment): Decanted 5 hours. Huge flowery bouquet, a bit of heat on the nose, and a nice sharp peppery finish. Big ripe wine, not overly tannic, and a silky finish that goes on for a very long time. Rosy hue in the glass, not so much of that deep dark purple, the grenache certainly plays a role. Fantastic bottle of wine that should age extremely well. Gaby Sr's bottle.

Dark color, blue and black fruits, herbs, licorice, and smoke on the nose, but also a bit boozy. On the palate is a wine with huge concentration, but with an elegant mouthfeel and gorgeous texture. There are obviously still some dying tannins, and medium to low acidity but no trace of the booze detected on the nose.

Lovely Rhone style wine. Strong blackberry nose, some oak. Silky blackberry, earth, rosemary palate. Finish has some serious grip. Drinks fine without decant now or hold. 15.7%. I get no heat. Something I am becoming increasingly less tolerant of. This would go great with Lamb!

Sweet nose with black currant and some earthyness. Liquer style blackberry fruit that is still quite elegant on the palate. Some cassis and sweet liquorice coming through nicely together with a pure and stringent acidity. OK, but nothing very interesting.

Rich, powerful, low-acid. A good one to sip slowly.

Excellent, though still too young, imo. I love the balance Eric manages between fruit, acid, alcohol, minerals...

Drank with a ny strip roast smoked on the grill. Was awesome. Huge nose and hit on the pallate. Finish goes on and on. Earthy, smoky, dark, and great.

Silky smooth, full body, perfect pairing for a bone in filet or ribeye. Enjoyed this at Mastros.
