This is really my favourite pinot noir. Too bad it is so hard to find outside the winery. Even there it sells out fast. Even at 10 years it has a lot of power left in it, with tannins, earth, cedar, leather and hay, stewed strawberries, lingering finish.

Dark crimson with lighter rim; very deep in color - one cannot see the bare hand beyond the glass; quite vibrant and healthy still.
On the nose: Burnt rubber, black cherry jam, earthy notes of wet mud covered with autumn leaves, animalistic, pepper-steak-breath & not too complex.
Approchable, ripe & pleasing the palate; a gamey & chewy sensation; neither light of foot nor dancing on the tongue; drink now, the wine will not improve I guess; light backbone, lacking structure & complexity; rather short finish - drink up!

A nice earthy and spice nose followed by an equally impressive spicey, gamey flavor. Not of a lot of fruit emanating from this wine immediately after being opened yet still a nice, smooth pinot, and perhaps even a bit of a richer style than most.

The noise got some earthy and fruit notes. The palate got earthy, tobacco, cherries. It had really nice complexity and structure. It was the best wine I tasted from Marimar. It was a solid A wine.

This pinot noir was pretty good (despite the poor reviews on CT). Decent cherry fruit, spice, tannins and minerals. Best with our plate of salami and cheeses, where it got more spice notes. At Enotera (Princeton) -- where they did recommend this wine (which had a higher markup than others)

Brownish, brickish color. Nutmeg & smoke on the nose with slight red cherry peeking through. Lean, oak driven rhubarb & cherry fruit flavors with a mineral element. OK.
