Color is clear, medium ruby. Nose is clean, youthful, medium with fruit, secondary barrel spice and earth / barnyard notes.
Palate is dry with medium alcohol. Body is medium + with overt fruit, tannins are medium and the acidity is medium. The acidity stands just a touch proud, making it lively and fresh.
Overall this is good youthful wine if a touch simplistic.

Good/Very Good - first experience with a wine that i would describe as somewhat meaty and floral at the same time...i enjoyed this wine...soft ever so slight menthol feeling in the mouth...was dry without being parched...a balance of fleshiness and austere dryness.

Spicy red fruit, a mineral quality that is somewhat similar to gravel and there is something about this wine that reminds me of asphalt. In addition a bitter orange peel flavor is there. I would say this is light bodied but not watery, hollow or disjointed like some Cotes du Rhone I have had. Excellent cohesion here but a bit too intense for me to really love.

Medium bodied, very nice hints of olive, somewhat monolithic, nice, if short, finish. Very good QPR.

Still no complaints at $11.99. Not much going on here, but not much to complain about either.

An extremmely typical CdR, lots of herbs , great with food on a hot summer evening, did served it a bit chilled that worked out nicely for it.

13 bucks and easy to drink. Just enough earthy garrigue on the nose and tannic grip to add some character without getting complex.
