This is sitting in a very nice spot right now. It has settled in nicely. Big tantalizing nose chock full of fruit and mocha. Darker blue and black fruit with integrated tannins. Charred wood. As a general rule, the Seven Stones wines have underperformed in my view from a value standpoint. The 06 still drinks as one of the better of the vintages from the 2000s.

It's matured very nicely, good representation what a high quality Napa Cabernet is capable of becoming; multidimensional, complex, medium+ body, and long finish.

This was decanted for about an hour and drunk over 3 more. Very nice evolution over the evening as the fruit darkened and the earthy elements evolved. Always a long finish with nice lift given the weight of its body. Awesome with steak main course. A steal at current auction prices around $100.

This wine was truly amazing. No flaws. No sediment. Dark ruby color. Moderate rim variation. And I quote: "Probably the best nose I've ever had from a California Cabernet." Simple perfection. Paired perfectly with filet mignon. Low tannin and acid. Medium alcohol, and, a long finish. This is so, so ready to drink. My only regret, last one I have!!! Enjoy.

Dark colored. Black fruit dominates- currents and blackberries. Dense cassis, with chewy tannins on the finish. A bit less dense than the last bottle- this has become more balanced over time. An excellent California Cab- good now, with room for further maturation.

- Ruby color with medium forming legs and aromas of black currant, cherry and fig. It's balanced and has flavours of black currant and cherry with a medium/full body. Round texture with a long finish - Decanted for one hour and drinking beautifully.

This has definitely put on weight over the years and was surprisingly very good for an 06. My last one but would buy again as it still showed a lot of life left.

Kind of a disappointing showing. Don't get me wrong, an outstanding wine, but I expect more especially for the price. This was consumed over three days but the first day was the best. Purple/ruby in color. The nose has cassis and charred wood. On the palate, this has a nice texture. Nice cassis fruit. Decent acidity. Lacks the complexity at this point I would have hoped for. In fact, I liked this better on release. It has plenty of life left, but I would still drink this now as I don't think it will improve.

This wine was huge, dark, and cloudy upon opening. It smelled of a winery during harvest. Decanted for over an hour before returning to the bottle (magnum). Smooth, inky, good fruit, well polished but present tannins... Just an excellent example of Napa cab. The only flaw was the cloudiness and a bit thick and dirty in mouth... But still a winner.

Darker color. Herbal note. Fine tannins. Black fruit. Tannins pretty prominent here. Fruit is very reluctant. Definitely on the more restrained side right now. Even after a few nights, this is still a very restrained wine with good balance. The stuffing seems to be there for a long term wine but its hard to know the development trajectory.

- Purple color. It's in total harmony with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a long finish - Just a fantastic bottle as it should be for the price. If you like over the top RP cabs, this probably isn't the wine for you. However, if you enjoy a wine with incredible balance, nice fruit structure, a kiss of oak and a very long and persistent finish, this is a GREAT wine to drink and enjoy.

Great nose of cassis, smoke, and herbs. The palate is bright with more cassis and some bright raspberries. Long and delicious with some remaining drying tannins.

Nice wine but seemed a bit one dimensional. Possibly drinking it too cold as i was moving wine around in the cellar while drinking it. No heat to speak of. Nice floral nose with a mouthfeel of lots of berries, plums and other big fruits. I get the feeling this will improve a bunch more. I plan to hold my last bottle for a good amount of time. QPR not so good but then again we're talking Napa so maybe it's priced in the right price point.

This was decanted for 30 minutes but really didn't beed it as it was stunning from the opening. Although it wasn't overly deep in colour, the wine was so smooth. Tons of caramel with a good touch of chocolate and blueberries. No edge at all to it as the 6 years has really served this bottle well. Loved it!

Bouchard, Chidaine, Urbans-Hof, Veglio, Seven Stones, Alban, Keplinger (My home): Really a great bottle of wines. Decanted 1.5 hours. Purple in color. The nose has cassis, plums, charred earth and some black licorice. Full bodied. Lots of structure, it seems that this has plenty of time to develop. Still, it is delicious now. Lots of cassis. Tightly layered, it opened all night long. While not a powerful wine, not a weakling either. Really very impressive. I wish it was not so expensive, but it is a "fair" price in the market IMO.

50+5+14+18+8=95 Young but already showing beautifully. Aromas of spice, leather, and tobacco. On the palate it's smooth and succulent with notes of cigar box, graphite, leather, and black plum. Long finish. An excellent wine that will only get better over the next 3-7+ years.

Delicious. Chewy, concentrated Napa cab. Blackberry, baker's chocolate, cedar and violets. Coating and velvety. Somehow this wine has become a bit more primary than last I had it. Maybe just softer.

I really like these wines. Are they were the money? I am not sure. I wish they were $50 less, but that is true for so many wines. The nose is very pretty with cassis, charcoal and some earthiness. On the palate, the texture is so soft and lovely yet there is plenty of fruit to fill this out. It is not a blockbuster but a very feminine cab. Showing some development despite its youth. Delicious as well.

So, a 2006 starts to evolve and soften. There's actually much more complexity in the nose of this wine than the rest, but my sense is good days are ahead. Spice, flowers, chocolate on the nose. The black fruits of the wine at release have gotten more blue. Medium finish. A touch of heat is all that keeps this from the absolute top echelon.

Nice sweet zippy nose with spice aromas. Soft rich dark quality and fruit forward, but well structured. Creamy mouth feel with a good dark spicy edge. Impressive depth to the fruit and wine was notable for the long finish. Dark black streak to the wine noted by some. May improve with time if raw materials integrate a bit further. 92+

Second fave of the night. Big, beautiful black and blue fruit. Spicy, somewhat hot at first but mellowed out. Caught some mint and chocolate on the nose. Somewhat dusty finish. Fruit profile of blackberry, bllack cherry and blueberry. Finished with some nice spices.

Fantastic nose of fruit. Jammy taste with short finish. Lacks much tannins. Not very complex. The 98 is my taste preference. Parker gave this a 92. But, I think anyone that likes a fruit forward wine will enjoy this.

Popped and poured over two hours with Gerry and Leigh. Complex aromas of mocha and red fruits. Deep red in color with flavors of currant, black cherry and coffee/tobacco. Secondary flavors of mixed black fruits and a hint of spice box. Even though this is way young, it is very enjoyable now even though it has a hint of tanic prickle.

Wow, the youth was evident. An amazingly pure and precise cabernet that was lush and elegant. I have always like Aaron Potts wines, and this must certainly be one of the best I have had yet. Creamy and full of promise….and baby fat, when this comes around in a few years time, you would be mighty happy to have it in your cellars. I almost felt as though I had tasted a barrel sample. Lots of exact black fruits with a hint of some red in the background. An amazingly intricate tannin base, with a lithy acidity. So much going on in 750ml of space.
