  • Beautiful fragrant nose of ripe raspberries, smoke and cedar. Dark and dense but perfectly balanced with nice acidity to give it freshness and vibrancy. Loam, tar and mint on the palate. Superfine tannins on the long finish. Gorgeous wine.

  • Absolutely outstanding. Let breath for two hours. A very rich full bodied flavorful cab. Smooth with a hint of berries and earthy and no issue with tannins. Have had a few100 point cabs and it ranks right up there. Timing was spot on for this 07.

  • First time I’ve had a wine from this producer and it’s delicious! Dark color, deep brooding, complex and earthy flavors. Dark blackberries and prunes. There is tobacco and cedar. Tannins are a bit dusty but not overly drying. No overt signs of heat despite the 15% octane. This is in a great window now but will undoubtedly last another 10+ years.

  • Solid Napa Cab. Old style - not overly sweet or fruity. Very well made.

  • needs to be decanted - stood up for a couple of hours and it threw off a ton of fine sediment - needed to be stood up for a day or longer, though - on initial taste fruit forward, but tasty - full-bodied and purple - continued to develop through the night but would still describe as fruit-forward - think this needs more time in the cellar.

  • Smoke, grill notes, cough drops and cassis. The palate is medium and smooth with blackberries, vanilla and some herbal notes. A bit tannic. Needs time.

  • Had over two nights.
This wine is inky purple. On the first night there was so much oak showing on the nose. And something slightly weird. I could not put my finger on it. On the second night the weird thing was gone. Smells like a big oaky Napa Cab. Very nice. This is a big style done right. Lots of dark fruit but also a great red berry thing happening. A touch of eucalyptus. The acid and relative lightness on the palate make this work. Not a style I could drink on a regular basis but sometimes it hits to spot. Tonight was one of those nights.

  • The wine has lost some baby fat. The nose is superb with currants blackberries and chocolate. The palate is brooding but shows some oak, blackberries, game meats and cocoa. Soft tannins that are not at all intrusive. Great wine.

  • Tasted along with the Diamond Creek Red Rock Terrace. Lovely mineral almost wet stone like nose. A touch of chalk as well. The nose leaves a real impression of freshness that I enjoy. The palate was bursting with red and black fruit with a fresh and lingering finish. Very open now and will likely benefit from a few years of bottle age.

  • 30-minute + decant, consumed over 3 hours. Very dark purple color, nose of spice and black fruit. Taste was very good, with balance of berry, spices, maybe a little (well-integrated) oak. Great, velvety mouthfeel. Finish was tannic, suggesting this needed more time and it has some years ahead of it. Overall, a good wine, possibly will be very good. Didn't measure up to the 08 Maybach I had a few weeks ago, in my opinion, but still a very enjoyable wine, especially when paired with a NY strip. (I can't find anything that pairs well with brussel sprouts though.) I don't know about paying $100+ per bottle for this. At $60-75, I would have felt very good about the purchase. At $101 plus overnight shipping, I think I'll stay with the 2 bottles I have remaining, and try again in a couple of years. 92-93 now, probably going to improve toward a 94-95 over the next few years.

  • Huge nose in front of an enormous wine. Chocolate, black and red fruits, tar, caramelized cherry tart. Long finish and huge tannins. It's young, but already feels integrated.

  • Again, wow! Huge nose of chocolate, cassis, blackberries and spices. The palate is full in both weight and flavors. Mouthcoating and balanced, with just enough acid. Ripe berries, baking spices, sweet oak and a velvety texture. Very long finish with solid tannins. On this night, better than Maybach 05.

  • Booyah! Brought this to dinner at Perilla. Nose full of chocolate, cassis, and some smoke. The palate is loaded with more chocolate, cassis, ripe plum and some oak. Thick and juicy but with a clean, long finish. Full throttle cali cab at its best.

  • For the past three weeks or so I had been thinking that for the ammount of money I spend on wine, I havent had a wow experience in a long time. Well, Harris to the rescue. Never had this producer's wine before, but I grabbed some of this, some Saunter, and some RM because I love Maybach, Schrader and Outpost so why not the other TRB made wines? A very intense nose with purple flower perfume, dark chocolate, grilled meats, new leather and currants. It is followed by a velvety palate of cassis, chocolate, smoke and some oak, which will no doubt fade to the background over time but I did not find it obstructive. Deep, dark and rich with sweet tannins. If you cant get a hold of some Maybach, this is a pretty good facsimile. I think Maybach is a tiny bit more balanced but this might catch up in time. What an awesome wine.

  • Popped and splashed into a decanter and then consumed over the next two hours. I thought we would explore it over more time but it was so good we polished the bottle off quickly.

Dark purple in color and seemingly thicker in viscosity. Huge nose of dark berries. Completely coats the mouth with fruit and a bit more oak than optimal. Still, almost perfectly in balance. Nice sustained finish. Absolutely loved this wine.
