My first time tasting any wine from this elusive, pre, World War 1 vintage. The color of tea, with tobacco, earth, cigar ash and truffles cents lead to a light, lean, but still alive wine with a whisper of cherry in the finish.

Pre Auction Wine Tasting w/ lots of Sassicaia (NYC): Bricking on the rim, but incredibly dark center, given its age. Very drinkable. Still clinging to fruit, but the caramel and toffee flavors provided very interesting flavor sensations. An unusal wine that gets extra credit for surviving, however permuted, for so long.
