Nose: yellow apple, yogurt, some salinity, slightly plasticy. Very light nose. Taste: off-dry, med body, strong acidity. Buttery rich texture, but high alcohol taste, fermented apples, tinned pineapples, rubbing alcohol. My tongue feels numb like I just drank listerine. This is disappointing for an Alsace wine, but bearable if sipped. 80.

nose: pear, asian pear, a little croissant. Taste: Rich and vanilla yogurt texture. Not too sweet (1-2) with pineapple and pear. Very croissant or butter roll like. Very buttery. Got a nice sharp sweet orange going too. A bit of acidity and sharpness at the end rounds out the finish. Very much like drinking a mango/pear/pineapple yogurt that is not too sweet and too fruity. Nice long creamy finish. This is a steal. It leave a little dryness or woodiness in your mouth afterward too. Extra point for over delivering...I was skeptical. A little heat in the beginning.

Full bodied, with outstanding tipicity; perfectly balanced at this point in time, and should last a while under proper storing condition given that it's got a screwtop. Nose is muted, but palate is very rich, with understated notes of honey, apple skin, pear and baked apple; the honey kicks in at the front end, but then the acidity washes it out in the middle, with seltzer notes through the lemon rind-leaning finish; ends very nicely, almost off-dry yet fully dry, with lingering fruit and notes of apple skin. Salty dishes will enhance the relative sweetness, while sweeter dishes with mellow it out. Best out of Chablis glasses, and at room temperature. Outstanding QPR. 12.5% ABV. 88-89

Nona/K hosted wine tasting. Dan used the term " petroleum " to describe this Pinot Gris. Best of the whites offered.

Rich, honey floral nose. Moderate visocsity, nice acid, off-dry, great honeyed melon fruit flavors. Nice acidic tartness on finish.

Unusual bit or residual sugar but well-balanced by fresh acidity. Great classic Alsace flavors and nose.
