Appearance: Bright and clear, it has light lemon color, with watery rims and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of green fruit of pear, citrus fruit of grapefruit and lemon, autolytic notes of yeast, dairy notes of cream, maturity notes of rubber, oak notes of toast. The wine is developing. Palate: Dry with medium acidity, the wine has high alcohol and medium body. It has medium (+) flavors of dairy notes of cream, oak notes of butterscotch, citrus fruit of grapefruit, green fruit of pear. The wine has a medium finish. Conclusion: Good quality Australian Verdelho, with an intense nose showing plenty of complexity, which demonstrates how this varietal can ripen and showing all the different aromas if it is ripe and well-made. The palate is in balance, with good concentration in flavors, reasonable complexity and even though a bit heavy it does not have an overpowering burning feel despite its high alcohol level. With a nice finish, the wine is ready to drink and not supposed for further ageing.

I'm a bit conflicted by this wine. It's interesting with a nice depth of flavor. But the flavor is a bit weird. A bit of caramel and tropical fruit. I don't think I would want to drink it often but it's not bad.

I opened this on a night with about 4 other whites and it just was so totally different than everything else we were drinking i initially hated it. Then i left it in the fridge overnight and tried it the next day. I liked it much more this day. It had a big punch of petrol on the nose and palate and had some nice crispness to it. Overall this aint my cup of tea, but for $6 that I paid it was pretty good value.

Also opened this at the wine group dinner at Two Chefs. No one got the grape or country (served double blind), but they all liked it. Worth getting more if I can find other bottles in the $3.99 dump bin

Floral and flashy Verdelho with a pretty, light golden hue and fresh cut flowers on the nose. Behind a veiled buttery texture, sweet grapefruit, star fruit and quince shine with a round and full mouthfeel. This Portugese white grape provides a real twang on a long, detailed finish. Perfect accompaniment to the crab cakes and seared scallop starters. Mollydooker 09 release dining event - Morton's South Coast.

Not terribly subtle, but pretty tasty. Good acidity to it, nice crisp almost floral nose. Pretty warm alcohol finish. Don't serve it too cold or it is really dumb.

Wine Blogger's Conference 2010 - Opening Tasting (Wine Blogger's Conference, Walla Walla, Washington): Limes, apples, and a hint of evergreen needles show on the nose. The wines texture shows a bit of richness. It delivers flavors of limes, with the peel, and some enjoyable pear flavors. The texture reminds me of thick grapes skins with a crisp contribution from the acidity. Easy drinking and straightforward.

This wasn't even chilled down that far and the nose was still coming off very light to me. Very fresh palate though fruit-wise with a neat spiciness on the finish. The problem here is the heat on the finish, you get a bit of boosy-ness on the tail end then a whack of heat as it's swallowed. Coming from some fairly light whites previously this wasn't doing it for me.

Was very eager to try given Mollydooker's reputation. Well.... unscrewed and poured... at first nice full, honey scent... upon tasting, bold wine grape juice, full in the mouth.... this is not a sipping wine. The interesting thing is little/no after-taste, BUT AN ALCOHOL BANG. At 15.5% you taste it and after the first glass, it becomes a little hard to stomach. Don't think I'll be trying this one again, but still recommend the Molly reds.

Living up to Marquis's consistant reputaion for producing intense in your face wines, even the white's. Intense ripe green pear, burnt honey and a touch of alcohol (15.5%) in the nose. Flavorfull on the palate, with ripe green fruits, carmel and honey that is inetense yet balanced. Long pretty smooth finish. Say what you want about these wines, but they never short change you on flavor.

Taste from dispenser at Whole Foods Lincoln Park. Nice medium bodied yet crisp and refreshing white. Very easy drinking with some nice depth. Loads of green apple and fresh green pear. Excellent acid on the back end with some nice sweetness to accompany.

Great one again for this year. A simple white sipper, but with some complexity that makes it an excellent food wine. Completely unlike any of the Mollydooker reds, but unique in its own right.
