  • Less complex than when I tried it 18 months ago. Still nice, but mainly cherry, berry, earth. A little austere.

  • Medium ruby color with garnet rim. Really spicy nose - clove, cinnamon, mint hit you before any fruit. Eventually a lovely black cherry aroma peeks through, along with brambles, damp earth, leather and a little barnyard. On the palate - black cherry, spice, minerality. Medium+ body, high acidity, medium tannins (a little chewy), medium+ alcohol (13.5%), long well-balanced (albeit a little grainy) finish with the black cherry, acidity and tannins all lingering. Great complexity, balance. Might soften with a little more time, but very enjoyable now.
