Quite tart without food, it rounded out nicely with a dinner of roast chicken and gratin Dauphinois. Juicy red fruit, bright acidity, light on its feet with a slight alcoholic note. Just a delight with the chicken.

already through a half case of this. Great with the ham. A touch less complex than the Chermette, more pepper and licorice. As much as I love this wine, the Chermette edged it out.

Nice ruby-red color. Aroma, a little sour, young and grapey, some alcohol. Thin cherry flavor on the palate, aftertaste has a note of sour blackberries. A bit disappointing and the plastic cork makes me wonder if it will improve.

Everything you could want from a middle weight, young beaujolais. Crunchy, bright fruit on the nose, pure on the palate. Nice long building finish with a lot of flavor impact. Leaves a smile on the face. Plastic cork, I see no reason to lay any of these down. Drinking great now.

An excellent cru beaujolais. Fantastic fruit, very mineral, nice dryness. Will probably last a few years

Dressner Day 1 (NYC): Richer style, great fruit. Very nice. It's always nice to see how great Beaujolais can be. 88-89
