Golden colour, confirmed by honeyed aromas in the glass, deep mineral notes combined with greengage fruit and a hint of caramelised butter, popcorn. Full bodied, expansive, with deep flavours of aged Chardonnay, cabbage, overripe melon, honey, matchstick. It's very pretty but perhaps lacking a notch or two of complexity and glamour. It stood up well to unpasteurised Camembert (no mean feat) and perhaps hid some of its greatness behind what appeared to be plain clothes rather than glitzy wear.

Farr Vintners Tasting - London; 11/17/2009-11/18/2009 (Vintners Hall - London): Rich nose of honeyed fruit, flint, minerals - in the mouth quite acidic yet rich at the same time - great balance - long finish - quite zingy at times. Needs time to settle down but will be very good.
