From a lesser year this was a very nice, mature Kabinett. Starting to turn golden but with green tinge still. Slate and green apple nose with just a hint of petrol - not too much. This has proper Kabinett crispness, any residual sugar it once had has now gone. Mature flavours, apples, limes and a slightly honeyed finish. Peak maturity - a lovely garden drinking wine sitting beneath the pear tree in blossom.
