Craig Haserot's Malconsorts Themed Round Robin Dinner (Estate Restaurant, Sonoma, California): Medium cherry red color with pale meniscus; mature, mushroom nose; mature, mushroom, tart red fruit, cinnamon, iodine palate; medium-plus finish

Leisurely Sunday Wine Lunch (Quattro Restaurant, Four Seasons Palo Alto, California): Medium bricking red color with pale meniscus; nice tart strawberry, mineral, soy sauce nose; poised, tart red fruit, mineral, tobacco palate with a touch of caramel, good grip; medium finish
An Offbeat 1987 Burgundy Birthday Dinner (and One Late Addendum); 10/4/2009-10/10/2009 (San Francisco): Tawny color. While this too had the telltale aromas of chaptalization, it was altogether finer, lacier, and more elegant than any of the Nuits, with an expressive black fruit profile.
