I think this may have been a flawed bottle. It tasted a little oxidized and overripe. I enjoyed it, but it doesn't seem like the same wine that others tasted.

Delicious - much more integrated and balanced than I recall. No longer am I saying "wow, so much acid", but I'm also enjoying the combination of fruit (raspberry) and earth that I like in my Grenache. This is very definitely a California version with loads of fruit, but the acidity is so bright that everything is in balance and the wine was singing over the few hours it was open.

This one's interesting. As soon as you take the first whiff an nearly-overpowering amount of alcohol hits you in the nose. Yet it quickly mellows out into what I'd label as a very smooth, light-to-medium bodied wine.
I had a bottle about 9 months ago and have to say that this leaves a much better impression than the first one. Perhaps a little more time has really allowed it to shine.

Strongly acidic, as expected from Meeker. Initially right out of the wine cooler and it was very closed. Aromas of raspberry started to appear as it warmed up and got some air. Maybe a bit of earth and spice as well. The fruit is secondary on the palate, while the finish goes on a long time and is full of the spice elements.
The major acid component starts to get a little subdued with more air and warming up. Now this is nice to drink on its own rather than feeling like it needs food.

This wine blew me away. I expected a thick chewy wine. Instead it is medium bodied with a gorgeous nose and just enough tannin. Drinking perfectly. What a surprise!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Meeker's oak alternatives take over their wines. I used oak alternatives. I know what they taste like. This tastes like oak chips. I've been to the winery. I see their tanks and their old barrels. They're using oak chips and they're not using them very well.

Klezman, my fellow Wooter, nails it. Nice acid that mellows out on the second day. Nice fruit. Dry for sure but very good.

Wow, what a powerful wine - very full bodied, almost chewy.

Fresh and fruity on the nose, not the normal Meeker strong arm - good easy drinker.
