Mature appearance, medium deep garnet, orange rim; discreet nose, mature but fresh, undergrowth, hint of spice, feels a bit hollow; the palate is quite dry and attenuated, and even if there is a certain sweetness of decay, it is starting to fall apart, little terroir expression left; light finish tails off a bit, cold tea and a certain nuttiness. Not unpleasant as a drink, but past best. I should have heeded my own warning from June 2011 (88). Interesting to retaste this on the second day. It comes across as slightly skeletal, as it has lost most or all of its fruit and flavour, but it is still fresh and together without getting metallic or unhinged. Quite unusual (87).

Very Nuits, earth and iron, some evolution on the nose, hint of Vosne spice, good Pinot fruit, firm but not too agressively structured, good length. Fort bon. The next day rather oxydative and rustic - do not keep for too long.

Continued malo in bottle. After 16+ years the effect is subtle, but the unevenness is unmistakable. Off.

Attractive ripe red fruit nose, stalkier on the palate, and finished a bit metallic - decent, not sure where it's going
