  • A good yet unspectacular wine, this one came in with high hopes as I have enjoyed other wines from this producer greatly. The wine was pale in hue, with a distinct garnet color that looked quite nice in the glass. This one has that sort of quintessential "Burgundy" aroma -- lots of dirt, a good amount of really ripe dark fruit and hints of leather/cedar. Taste left a bit to be desired -- was good but not something that raised any eyebrows. A solid wine for sure, but for the price something like this would fetch? Not too sure there. Might be worthwhile in a different vintage, perhaps.
